ESL Curriculum Framework
The
free samples below represent actual curricular frameworks used by
professional ESL teachers to create
effective lesson plans and syllabi for short and
long-term ESL classes.
To use these frameworks have teachers
create a syllabus (see
Sample Writing & Grammar Syllabus)
incorporating the framework objectives, with
flexibility based on
individual class levels.
Then individual lesson plans should be made based on the
syllabus for
each course. Taken together, the framework, syllabus and lesson
plans are the curriculum, but you will need to
create your own syllabi and lesson plans. The frameworks are the
foundation of your curriculum. To get teachers
started have them make lesson plans and syllabi using the
frameworks you download or purchase as their starting
point for goals objectives.
