The
free samples (below left) represent actual curricular frameworks used by
professional ESL teachers to
create effective lesson plans and syllabi for short and
long-term ESL classes.
To use these frameworks, teachers
should create a syllabus (see
Sample Syllabus
here) incorporating the
framework objectives as closely as possible,
with
flexibility based on
individual class levels.
Then, individual lesson plans should be created based on the
syllabus
for
each course. Taken all together, the framework, syllabus and lesson
plans are the
curriculum, but you will need to
create your own syllabi and lesson plans. The frameworks are the
foundation piece of your curriculum. To get your
teachers
started, have them make lesson plans and syllabi using the
frameworks you download or purchase as their
starting point for goals objectives.
